New Years Eve

Me and my dog went to one of my home creeks on New Years Eve to try my luck on some trout and test out some new gear. Good thing the gear was a new wading jacket, because I got skunked. I really couldn't believe it, but it didn't ruin my day by any means. I saw some nice folks, and some cool sights along the way. Not too mention it was a beautiful day out. Here's what we saw...

Loving the new FishAge jacket. Thanks to Simone Palli and his great gear from Italy!

Beavers doin some work on a huge tree.

This was a whole car. Chassis, 4 hubs, transmission, and engine. Its a small stream, so this is a crazy sight to see there.

New Rod

Here's a few pictures of the new rod I just put together. It is a 9'6" 8wt Rainshadow blank, with an American tackle titanium braided window reel seat with black graphite insert and black single foot guides. It will be my new lake run rod.

Fish Age

Thank you to Simone Palli and Fish Age Clothing and Accessories for sending me this new gear to test out. I'll let you all know how it is after I get a chance to test run it.

2 Days in Erie

We went up for a Thurs and Friday trip this week and did pretty well. We hit one of my favorite streams on Thurs, and it seemed that the fish made their way up past this section. I only hooked a few here. We then later went upstream and found the pods we were looking for. We hit a couple more before dark, and called it a day. Friday, we went to a very popular stream that is usually very crowded. We got lucky with the weather, and there was barely anybody there. I ended the day with I think 9 fish landed, and a few more hooked. My buddy got a couple there as well. Almost every fish there was fresh chrome. Also, despite the cold weather, they still had a ton of energy and fought great. I also had a first in catching a car antenna. (no joke, look at the picture!) Here's the pics...

Tribs

Here's a look at our recent adventures from NY and PA. The season is just starting to get good for Lake Erie, and Ontario tributary fishing.
